Rava upma

1 tsp mustard seeds

1 tsp urad dal
-
1 tsp channa dal
-
10 cashewnuts
-
few curry leaves

Rava upma
preparation:
-
Take a kadai and dry roast the rava till
golden brown colour.

Remove from heat and keep it
aside.

Heat a kadai with ghee.
-
Add mustard seeds.
-
When they start to crackle add remaining
seasoning ingredients.

Saut'e till they turn into golden yellow
colour.

Add curry leaves, onion, green chillies and
minced ginger.

Add salt and cook till the onions become
transparent.

Now add 2 cups of water and close with a
lid.

When the water starts to boiling add rava
and keep stirring for 2 mins.(Add rava slowly in continuous flow while
stirring).

Close with a lid and cook for 5
mins.

Finally garnish with coriander leaves and
remove from heat..

Now rava upma is ready to
eat.

Serve hot ravva uppuma with coconut chutney
or mango pickle.
