Prawn curry
ingredients:
- 500g prawn, peeled
- 1 onion, mediun size
- 1 tomato, medium size
- 1 drumstick (optional)
- medium lemon size tamarind (soak in warm water for 10
mins)
- 1 tsp red chilli powder or to taste
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
- 1/2 tsp mustard seeds
- few curry leaves
- few coriander leaves
- salt to taste
- 1 tbsp of oil

Royyala pulusu or shrimp curry
preparation:
- Peel, clean and wash the prawns and keep aside.
- Soak the tamarind in water for 10 mins and extract the
juice and keep aside.
- Cut the drumstick into 2" piece.
- Finely chop the onion and tomatoes and keep aside.
- Now heat a deep pan with oil and add mustard
seeds.
- When they start to pop add curry leaves and chopped
onions.
- Saute till the onions become transparent.
- Add chopped tomatoes and required quantity of
salt.
- Mix well and cook till the tomatoes become juicy.
- Add chilli powder, coriander powder and turmeric
powder, drumstick pieces and washed prawns.
- Mix well and saute for few seconds.
- Now pour the tamarind juice and adjust salt.
- Cook on medium low flame for 20 mins or till the prawns
become tender.
- Finally garnish with coriander leaves.
- Now spicy, tangy and tasty prawn curry is ready to
serve.
- Serve your easy prawn curry with plain white rice.
