Medu vada
ingredients:
- 2 cups urad dhal
- 1 onion (finely chopped)
- 4 green chillies or to taste (finely chopped)
- 1 tsp peppercorns
- few curry leaves (roughly chopped)
- few coriander leaves (roughly chopped)
- salt to taste
- oil for frying

Medu vadai
Recipe:
- wash and soak the dhal for minimum 2 hrs.
- Gring onions, green chillies along with dhal without
adding any water.
- Now mix coriander leaves, curry leaves,
peppercorns and salt with dhal batter.
- Heat a deep pan with oil.
- Dip your hands in water and take a lemon size of
batter.
- Flatten with your palms on a plastic sheet to form a
round shape.
- Make a hole in the centre with finger.
- Drop the flattened batter into the oil and deep fry
untill they turn into golden brown colour.
- Drain the excess oil and serve warm.
- Serve with coconut chutney and sambar.
