Kadai paneer
ingredients:
- 250 g paneer, cut into cubes
- 4 onions
- 3 tomatoes
- 2 tsp ginger garlic paste
- 1 tsp chilli powder or to taste
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1/4 tsp coriander powder
- 1 tsp garam masala powder
- few coriander leaves for garnishing
- 2 tbsp oil or ghee
- salt to taste
Seasoning
ingredients:
- 2 bay leaves
- 2 cloves
- 1" cinnamon stick
- 2 cardamom (optional)
Kadai paneer
preparation:
- Blanch the onions for 10 mins then make a paste and
keep aside.
- Blanch the tomatoes for 10 mins then remove the skin
and make puree and keep aside.
- Fry the paneer in 3 tsp of ghee till they turn golden
brown colour.
- Then remove from the ghee and put them in cold
water.
- Now heat a pan with with ghee or oil.
- Add the seasoning ingredients and saute for few
seconds.
- Add oniona paste and saute till the paste turn into
golden yellow colour.
- Then add ginger garlic paste and saute till the raw
smell disappears.
- Add tomato puree and saute for further 5 mins.
- Then add the chilli powder, coriander powder and
turmerici powder.
- Saute for a second, then add the fried paneer
pieces.
- Mix well and add a cup of water, garam masala and
required quantity of salt.
- Cover with a lid and cook on low flame for 10 mins or
till you get the desired consitancy.
- Now switch off the stove and transfer the kadai paneer
into serving bowl and garnish with coriander leaves.
- Now your easy and tasty kadai paneer is ready to
serve.
- Serve hot with Roti,
paratha or
naan.
