Gobi Manchurian
ingredients:
- Cauliflower - 1 (cut
into medium sized
florets)
- Onion – 1 finely
chopped
- Green chillies – 5
or to taste (finely
chopped)
- Garlic flakes – 4
(finely chopped)
- Fresh ginger root –
½” (finely minced)
- Soya sauce – 1
tbsp
- Green chilli sauce –
1 tbsp
- Tomato ketchup – 4
tbsp
- Spring onions – 1
bunch
- Coriander leaves –
for garnishing
- Oil – 1
tbsp
- Salt – to
taste
Batter ingredients:
- All purpose flour –
½ cup
- Corn flour – ½
cup
- Egg –
1
- Ginger garlic paste
– 3 tsp
- Red chilli powder –
1 tsp or to taste
- Salt to
taste

Gobi Manchurian
preparation:
- Make a thick batter
with the above
ingredients.
- Heat a deep pan with
oil.
- Dip the cauliflower
florets in the batter and carefully leave into the
oil.
- Deep fry untill the
florets turn into golden brown
colour.
- Remove from heat and
drain the excess of oil and keep
aside.
- Now heat the separate
pan with ½ tbsp of oil.
- Add chopped onions,
green chillies and saute till they turn into
transparent.
- Add chopped garlic and
minced ginger and saute for few
mins.
- Now add soya sauce,
chilli sauce, tomato ketchup, required quantity of
salt and an pinch of red food
colour.
- Mix well and add the
cauliflower florets.
- Now increase the flame
to high and combine gently untill all the florets are
well coated with the sauce.
- Finally add coriander
leaves and finely chopped spring
onions.
- Serve
hot.
