Goat Curry Recipe

Goat curry ingredients:

  • 1/2 kg goat meat (mutton)
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tomato, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp ginger garlic paste
  • 1 tsp chilli powder or to taste
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala, (optional)
  • salt to taste
  • few coriander leaves for garnishing
  • 1/2 tbsp oil

Seasoning ingredients:

  • 1/2 tsp mustard seeds
  • few curry leaves

Goat curry or mutton curry preparation:

  • Cut the mutton into bite size pieces and wash with plenty of water and drain completely.
  • Heat a pan with oil and add mustard seeds.
  • When they start to pop add curry leaves and chopped onions.
  • Saute till the onions become transparent and add chopped tomatoes.
  • Saute till the tomatoes become juicy.
  • Add ginger garlic paste and saute till the raw smell disappears.
  • Add chilli powder, coriander powder and turmeric powder and saute for few mins.
  • Now add washed and drained mutton pieces and mix well.
  • Add 2 cups of water and cover with a lid and cook on low flame till the goat pieces become tender.
  • Then adjust salt and add garam masala.
  • Finally garnish with coriander leaves and remove from heat.
  • Now your easy and tasty indian style goat curry is ready to serve.
  • Serve with rice, Roti, idly paratha, etc..
