Egg bonda

(Indian snack recipe)

Egg bonda ingredients: 

  • 4 eggs  
  • 1 cup besan flour
  • 2 tbsp rice flour
  • a pinch of baking soda
  • 3/4 tsp chilli powder or to taste
  • salt to taste
  • oil for deep fry

Egg bonda/egg bajji preparation:

  • Boil the eggs and remove the shells.
  • Now slice the boiled eggs into half and keep aside.
  • Mix the flours, chilli powder, baking soda and salt with required quantity of water. 
  • The batter should't be too thick nor too thin. 
  • Now heat a pan with oil. 
  • Dip the egg slice into the batter and slowly leave into the oil. 
  • Deep fry on both sides till they turn into beautiful golden yellow colour. 
  • Remove from heat and drain the oil. 
  • Now your yummy and delicious egg bonda is ready to serve. 
  • Serve hot with chutney, sauce or ketchup.
