Chicken vepudu
ingredients:
- 500g chicken
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 1 tomato, finely chopped
- 1" fresh ginger root
- 3 garlic flakes
- 1 tsp peppercorns
- 1 tsp chilli powder or to taste
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp mustard seeds
- salt to taste
- 2 tbsp oil
- few curry leaves
- few coriander leaves

preparation:
- Cut the chicken into bite size pieces, wash and drain
the water.
- Make a paste with ginger, garliv and peppercorns.
- Take a vessel and add the washed chicken pieces, chilli
powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, salt and very
little amount of water.
- Cook on medium flame for 20 mins or till the chicken
become tender.
- Now heat a pan with oil and add mustard seeds.
- When they start to pop add curry leaves and chopped
onions.
- Saute till they turn into golden yellow colour.
- Add chopped tomatoes and ginger garlic paste.
- Saute till the raw smell disappears.
- Now add the cooked chicken pieces along with the
water.
- Mix well and cook on medium low flame for further 10-15
mins.
- Finally adjust salt and garnish with coriander
leaves.
- Now your easy and tasty chicken vepudu is ready to
serve.
- Serve hot with plain white rice, sambar rice, Biryani, etc...
