Butter chicken recipe
ingredients:

- 1 onion finely chopped
- 1 tomato finely chopped
- 1/2 cup curd
- 2 tsp ginger garlic paste
- 1 tsp chilli powder
- 1 tsp garam masala
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 2 bay leaves
- 2 tbsp butter
- salt as required

- 1 kg chicken (skinless, boneless chicken thighs or
breasts)
- 1 tbsp oil or ghee
- 1 tsp garam masala
- 1/2 tsp pepper powder or to taste
- 1 tbsp cornflour
- 1/4 cup water

- Cut the chicken into bite size pieces.
- Wash the chicken pieces and drain the water completely
and keep aside.
- Take a pan and heat with ghee or oil.
- Add the chicken pieces and roast the chicken pieces
turn into golden brown colour.
- Then add garam masala powder and pepper powder.
- Combine well and add 3-6tbsp of sauce and cook untill
the liquid has reduced.
- Remove from flame and keep aside.
Masala or curry
preparation:
- Heat a pan with ghee or butter, add bay leaves, cumin
seeds and saute for few seconds.
- Add chopped onions and saute till they turn into light
brown colour.
- Add chopped tomatoes and saute till they become
juicy.
- Then add ginger garlic paste and saute till the raw
smell disappears.
- Add chilli powder, garam masala, salt and saute for a
min.
- Now add beaten yoghurt/curd and little quantity of
water.
- Combine well and close with a lid and cook on low flame
for 10 mins.
Butter chicken
preparation:
- Add the cooked chicken pieces to the above curry mix
well.
- Cover with a lid and cook on low flame for 10-15 or
until the gravy thickened of your choice.
- Finally garnish with coriander leaves and remove from
heat.
- Now chicken butter masala is ready to serve.
- Serve hot with rice, roti, paratha, etc...
Sauce
preparation:
- Mix cornflour with water.
- Cook the cornflour mixture for 10 mins or
until thickened.

cooking time: 30-45 mins
