Adai
ingredients:
- 1 cup raw rice
- 1 cup boiled rice
- 1 cup toor dhal
- 1 cup urad dhal
- 1 cup channa dhal
- 10 red chillies or to taste
- a pinch of asafoetida
- 1 onion finely chopped
- few curry leaves
- few coriander leaves
- salt to taste
- oil for sprinkle
Adai
preparation:

Clean, wash and soak the rice and
dhals together for atleast 4
hours.

Grind the soaked rice and dhal in a
mixer grinder along with red chillies,
asafoetida, salt and little amount of
water.

Grind till the batter turns into
smooth paste.

Once the batter is ready then
transfer into a large vessel and add chopped
onions, chopped curry leaves, chopped
coriander leaves and mix well.

Now heat a pan(tawa) and pour a
laddle full of the above batter and spread
like a uthappam.

Pour a spoon full of oil around the
adai.

Cook on medium flame untill it turns
into golden brown colour on both
sides.

Remove from flame and serve hot with
avial or coconut chutney.
