Tomato Rice
(South Indian Rice recipe)

Tomato Rice
Ingredients:

2 tomatoes (chopped)
-
1 cup rice (cooked)
-
1 onion (chopped)
-
2 green chillies (slit into
half)
-
½ tsp turmeric powder
-
½
tsp mustared
seeds
-
½ tbsp oil or ghee
-
few coriander leaves (roughly
chopped)
-
10 cashew nuts (optional)
Ground Paste
Ingredients:

Preparation:

Heat oil or ghee in a pan.

Add onions and saut'e for few mins.

Add the ground paste, tomatoes, slitted green
chillies,turmeric powder and salt.

Close with a lid and cook on medium flame till
tomatoes become tender(In-between stir well).

Remove from flame and allow to cool.

Mix gentlt the rice with tomato mixture.

Garnish with coriander leaves and cashewnuts.
-
Serve your tomato rice with spicy vegetable curry.
