Lemon rice

½ tsp mustard seeds

½ tsp urad dal

½ tsp channa dal
-
10 cashew nuts
-
3 tsp peanuts (optional)

2 red chillies
-
few
curry leaves

a
pinch of asafoetida

Lemon
rice preparation:

Heat 2 tbsp of oil in a pan and add mustard seeds,
urad dal, cashew nuts, peanuts, and channa dal.

When they turn into golden yellow colour add curry
leaves and red chillies.

Remove the sautéed ingredients form the pan and
keep it aside.

Add the remaining oil, turmeric powder, asafoetida,
green chillies and sauté for a min.

Add lemon juice and cook for 2 to 3 mins.

Remove from the flame and mix gently with salt,
sautéed ingredients and cooked white rice.

Lemon rice is ready to eat.

Serve with potato chips or papad.
